The Damascus DSX-75 Hornet uses the very latest advanced technology and is designed for three primary operational applications:
1) To allow the tactical operator the highest amount of dexterity and tactility to manipulate weapons and tools;
2) Provide various rappelling capabilities without the use of a separate over-glove;
3) Solve long-term wear issues which other styles have faced (such as flight gloves), that were not designed for higher levels of punishing field use.
The knuckles on the backs of the hands are reinforced with a blend of Cordura®, Dynafil®, TS70® and Kevlar®. It is a tenacious fabric with superior abrasion resistance, flexibility and is lightweight and is used most commonly in apparel for extreme sports.
The palm reinforcement utilizes a unique patented hex pattern variation of U.S. Made SuperFabric brand material which empowers the #DSX-75 with the highest performance level in the market for fast-roping / rappelling operations as it prevents heat build up and has substantial abrasion resistance-it is like no other.
DuPont® Kevlar® fabric provides flame / flash protection as well as cut resistance on backs of hands and the entire index finger and remaining finger tips have been reinforced with premium aniline leather.
The Hornet has been successfully wear tested and evaluated by SWAT & Military for weapons handling, rope operations, climbing breaching and other demanding special forces operations.
